GUESTS
Anyone who knows- really knows- that they cared about me. Otherwise, don't bother. Also, you've got to really belt out the hymn, otherwise you won't be doing my memory any kind of service. So, if you won't be singing for all you're worth, don't bother coming. Finally, and I speak as someone who felt painfully shy so often, a prerequisite is that you're going to have the nerve to approach to someone you don't feel you know at the funeral, and speak with them at length about whatever you have in mind. Please spread understanding and friendship.

MUSIC
On entry- Louis Armstrong; 'Wonderful World' To finish- Primal Scream; 'Movin' On Up'

READINGS
This by Arundhati Roy: "The only dream worth having is to dream that you will live while you are alive, and die only when you are dead. To love, to be loved. To never forget your own insignificance. To never get used to the unspeakable violence and vulgar disparity of the life around you. To seek joy in the saddest places. To pursue beauty to its lair. To never simplify what is complicated or complicate what is simple. To respect strength, never power. Above all to watch. To try and understand. To never look away. And never, never to forget."
